Rename View Templates

Batch-rename view templates or view family types. Filter, select rows, compose the new names (directly or with batch rules), then apply.

  1. Select view family. Use the dropdown (e.g., "View Templates") to choose what you are renaming.
  2. Understand the standard. The tool reminds that a view template name should match its view family type name.
  3. Select items. Check the rows you want to rename. The grid shows:
    • Original Value: current template/type name (e.g., Architectural Plan, Architectural Section).
    • Updated Value: live preview of the new name based on your rules.
    • Write a Value: optional per-row manual entry.
  4. Compose names.
    • Direct edit: type a specific name in Write a Value for a row.
    • Batch Rename: set Prefix/Suffix or Find/Replace With to update all selected rows (e.g., Find "Architectural" ? Replace With "ARC" resulting in names like ARC_Plan, ARC_Section).
  5. Apply. Click Rename Selected to commit changes to all checked rows.
